OUR STORY

E H Humphries (Norton) Limited began life in Norton Canes, Staffordshire, being founded by Ernest Howard Humphries, an electrician in the late 1950s.
The limited company was founded in 1960, and was eventually passed to Ernest’s nephew, John Weldon and Maurice Brown.
Since 1984 the company has been wholly owned by its directors.
The photo was taken after E H Humphries relocated offices in 1985 and has remained here for 39 years.
EH Humphries first office was located in Norton Canes opposite Craddocks News agents. On Hednesford Road, Norton Canes.
The building was demolished in 2017.
John and Maurice co owned E H Humphries for many years.
When John retired in April 2006 the torch was once again passed to John’s sons, David and Kevin, who to this day still carry on the family company.
Over the 60 year history of the company E H Humphries has gone from strength to strength and even during the current challenging climate continues to deliver successful projects, develop relations with long time standing clients whist also generating new client relationships.
The company moved from its original base in Norton Canes to its present location in Cannock over 30 years ago and still trade from these offices today
E H Humphries have also branched out into the Mechanical element of works and over the last 10 years become a fully pledged Mechanical & Electrical Contracting company in the field that we work in on a daily basis
